Lincoln Castle

With a Medieval Castle wall walk, a Victorian Prison and an exhibit of Lincoln’s history of the Magna Carta, Lincoln Castle is a fantastic day out for all the family. 

There are also numerous events held throughout the year.

Lincoln Cathedral

Lincoln Cathedral is a grade one listed building with its earliest parts dating back to the year 1072. Home to the famous Lincoln Imp, it is full of historic and glorious decoration which showcases the city of Lincoln’s great past. 

The Cathedral is only one part of the historical quarter. There are many shops, restaurants and pubs to explore – all with unique character and history. 

Family Fun at the Beach

Skegness & Mablethorpe

The East coast of Lincolnshire has some amazing sandy beaches that has a little something for everyone. Looking for entertainment, arcades and a spot of Fish & Chips? Skegness is for you. 

Alternatively, looking for a nice stroll and bit of peace and quiet? Head up the coast to Mablethorpe. Want to go even further? Check out Donna Nook to the north where you’ll find an abandoned tank on the beach…

Cadwell Park Race Circuit

Tucked away in the Lincolnshire countryside, Cadwell Park is a fan favourite for British Superbikes as well as vintage and classic car races.

Airshows

Red Arrows

The Red Arrows are based at RAF Waddington, located nearby. When they are not performing displays internationally, they can be seen practicing in the surrounding area and from Wolds View Cottage. 

Should you wish to try and get a closer look, there is a viewing area located at RAF Waddington. 

Historic Lincolnshire

Horncastle

The historic town of Horncastle dates back to Roman times and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Surrounded by the Wolds, its quaint, cobbled streets, spot thatched houses are a delight to explore. 

To the north of the town is the Wolds Wildlife Park that contains a host of wild animals including lions, tigers & bears.

Woodhall Spa

Another historic Lincolnshire town that is full of things to do. Whether it be to pay respect at the Dambusters memorial, or visit the only cinema in the UK that has a rear projection screen; The Kinema in the Woods. Finally, if you’ve got a decent handicap, then Woodhall Spa is also home to The English Golf Centre and boosts two 18 hole courses.
